CIVL Radio has announced the performers for its inaugural Fraser Valley Music Awards (FVMA) gala on Saturday, July 16.
The event, taking place at the Abbotsford Arts Centre, features nine live performances:
– hip hop nominee Saint Soldier;
– blues nominee Harpdog Brown;
– folk/roots nominee Matt Lowen;
– pop nominee The Kwerks;
– experimental nominee Kin;
– a Prince medley performed by nominees from the For and By Youth category (Ria, Jade, Quinn Sojonky and IshDaFish); and
– the three Battle of the Bands finalists.
The award nominees, who were announced in April in 12 categories, will be named at the gala event. Tickets are now on sale at civl.ca/fvma. Funds raised will go toward current and future production costs.
