Larry the Cable Guy came to Abbotsford Sunday night to share his views on late night television commercials, personal hygiene, shopping at Walmart, and a variety of bodily functions better left unsaid.
And the audience took in each word like it was a rare treat.
Comedian Daniel Lawrence Whitney (better known as Larry) provided the kind of base level, redneck humour that you can't help but laugh at, despite the subject matter.
Wearing his trademark ball cap and sleeveless shirt and spouting his catch phrase "Git 'R Done', Larry took the audience on a tour of his world – a world where underwear jokes and gas humour is perfectly legitimate.
It's a formula that has worked well for him and seems to strike the right spot in an audience's sense of humour, keeping the laughs flowing.
He has had success on several levels including as a stand-up comedian and part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, an author, a television actor and in movies.
He has even lent his voice to Pixar as the talking tow truck Mater in the smash cartoon hit Cars.
But Sunday's show wasn't aimed at kids.
The adult-oriented jokes left grown ups red-faced from laughing and while some may take a mild level of offence to his material, Larry has a message for them.
He said he didn't mean to shock anyone, adding life was to short not to laugh your way through it.
Joining Larry on the tour was fellow Blue Collar alumnus Bill Engvall, sharing his views on marriage and how to hand out "I'm Stupid" signs to those who deserve them.
The show was opened by comedian Reno Collier.
While official numbers were not available, thousands of fans turned out to the show.
