The Fraser Valley Symphony (FVS) returns to in-person concerts on Sunday, Nov. 14 for its 38th season.

The concert, titled Celebrate, takes place at 3 p.m. at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, 32315 South Fraser Way.

The repertoire reflects some of the turbulence and emotional challenges that people have experienced, and the hope, beauty, peace and love in their hearts through this all.

The concert features Hector Berlioz’s Roman Carnival Overture, Franz von Suppe’s Light Cavalry Overture, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5.

Founded in 1984, the FVS is composed of musicians from Abbotsford and surrounding communities and is the premier community orchestra of the Fraser Valley region. Lindsay Mellor is the conductor/music director.

Concert guests must show their vaccine card at the door.

Tickets are $15 and are limited. They are available at fraservalleysymphony.org.
