The Abbotsford Arts Council and Kariton Gallery present the return of Paint Mill Lake! on Saturday, Aug. 5 at Mill Lake Park.
The event invites artists and dabblers of all levels to participate by picking up a canvas on the day of the event between 10 and 10:30 a.m. at Kariton Gallery, 2387 Ware St.
They then find their favourite spot around the lake and paint they day away. The finished pieces are dropped off at Kariton by 2 p.m., and the artwork is displayed in the outdoor gallery from 2 to 3 p.m.
Participants are entered into a draw to win one of two $25 gift cards to the House of Fine Art.
The cost to participate is by donation. Spots can be booked online at abbotsfordartscouncil.com (click on “events and programs”) by Aug. 3.
Drop-ins are also welcome, but canvases/paper are available only while supplies last.
