$252K in community gaming grants awarded to Abbotsford arts groups

Six arts and culture organizations in Abbotsford will receive a total of almost $252,000 in the latest round of community gaming grants.

More than 650 organizations across B.C. are receiving a total of $18.2 million.

The Abbotsford recipients are:

• Gallery 7 Theatre and Performing Arts Society – $50,600

• Abbotsford Arts Council – $32,600

• Abbotsford International Airshow Society – $37,500

• Heritage Abbotsford Society – $46,200

• Abbotsford Agrifair – $80,000

• Abbotsford Community Music School Society – $5,000

Also recently announced as recipients of community gaming grants were parent advisory councils (PACs) throughout the province.

More than 1,300 PACs and district PACs – including almost 50 in Abbotsford – received more than $11.2 million to support extracurricular activities across B.C.

The local grants ranged from $2,000 to almost $29,000.
