After a four-year hiatus, the Classic and Vintage Motorcycle Swap Meet and Show ‘n Shine returns to Abbotsford on Sunday, April 30.

The 33rd show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ag-Rec Building at Abbotsford Exhibition Park, 32740 Haida Drive.

The event features more than 150 booths of parts, clothing and accessories as well as bikes for sale whether they are 100 per cent restored or a pile of parts in need of some tender loving care.

Owners of all makes and models of classic and vintage motorcycles are invited to enter the show ‘n shine and vie for the People’s Choice Award.

The featured bike at this year’s show is a rare 1909 NSU V-Twin motorcycle manufactured in Germany and restored by Vancouverite Dan Smith.

The bike restoration began more than seven years ago with only the motor, and there were major pieces of it missing.

Smith, a machinist, had lots of patience and the determination to complete the project. The carburetor alone took two years to find and was located in Germany, costing Smith 2,000 euros (almost $3,000 Canadian).

The show is suitable for the whole family. Admission is $10 (free for kids 12 and under).
