This year is the “rebirth” of a decade-old festival in Abbotsford according to a new AbbyFest director.
“It’s about creating a community,” Jove Loewen said at the event in Abbotsford Centre on Saturday. “How do we create a starting line?”
Loewen believes he and the rest of the AbbyFest committee have done just that with what he calls the largest version yet of the celebration.
He hopes the inclusive festival will close the gap between generations in the community, and in four or five years Loewen thinks AbbyFest will be the biggest annual event in the city.
