Volunteers are currently being sought for a program that prepares income tax returns free of charge for low-income people.
The program operates in March and April, and experienced individuals with some level of training are required.
Last year, they prepared more than 1,000 returns and hope to increase those numbers this year.
The program serves individuals with an income of up to $30,000 and couples with an income of up to $40,000. It is a collaboration between the Canada Revenue Agency and the Clearbrook Golden Age Society.
Those interested in volunteered are asked to contact incometax@gardenparktower.ca, and an interview will be arranged.
