A new program in Abbotsford offers fun and recreation for school-aged kids who have autism.
Get in the Game! introduces sports to kids with autism. The program recently took place after school on Mondays at Terry Fox Elementary.
Although the program is now over, it will continue again in the fall, and is being offered as a day camp this summer.
A total of three day camps for kids with autism take place in July in Abbotsford and are now accepting registration. The camps are:
– Get in the Game for kids ages six to 10 – July 10 to 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Terry Fox Elementary;
– Lego Assisted Social Skills Camp – July 24 to 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Terry Fox Elementary; and
– Coding and Robotics with Friends for kids ages eight to 13 – Aug. 4 to 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Fraser Valley Child Development.
