Two students from University of the Fraser Valley attended the National Student Food Summit in Toronto from Aug. 16 to 18.
Ashley Camille and Sarah Gabor-Martinez were among students from across Canada taking part in the event held at the University of Toronto Hart House.
The summit provided participants with leadership development, networking opportunities, and a platform to share ideas and strategies about achieving a more sustainable food system.
A number of sessions were held with food-movement leaders, who worked with students to develop strategies for food system improvements on campuses.
