DIWALI CELEBRATION

Abbotsford Community Library (33355 Bevan Ave.) holds a Diwali  (Festival of Light) celebration on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The event includes crafts, entertainment, refreshments and more. Info: 604-853-1753

SOUPER SATURDAY

The Order of the Eastern Star in Abbotsford holds a Souper Saturday on Nov. 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 33860 Pine St.  Cost is $6. Come enjoy lunch and start your Christmas shopping early.

LEARNING PLUS

Abbotsford Learning Plus presents one class next week in its fall series.  “Epilepsy and Seniors: Was That a Seizure?” takes place Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon at Abbotsford Recreation Centre (ARC), 2499 McMillan Rd. BLANKET TIME

The Abbotsford chapter of Blankets for Canada holds its monthly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Fraser Valley Christian Centre, 31929 Mercantile Way.  Everyone is welcome to help put knitted and crocheted blankets together for those in need in Abbotsford.  Donations of yarn are always appreciated.
