SQUARE DANCE

The Abbotsford Grand Squares square dance club holds a fundraising dance on Sunday, March 3 for Zajac Ranch for Children. The event takes place from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Abbotsford Social Activity Association hall, 33889 Essendene Ave.

DANCES EVERY FRIDAY

Dances are held every Friday at the Abbotsford Social Activity Association’s hall at 33889 Essendene Ave. from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Cost is $6 for members and $7 for non-members. Bands for March are: Good Vibrations (March 1), Retro Fire (March 8), Shirley Rodgers (March 15) and Sweetwater (March 22). There is no dance on March 29.

FISH AND CHIPS

The ladies auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion (2513 West Railway St.) holds a fish and chips night on Friday, March 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. Music is by Syd.

BUY THE BOOK

Friends of the Abbotsford Libraries host a book sale at Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way) on Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

BLANKET TIME

Blankets for the Fraser Valley holds its monthly meeting on Thursday, March 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Fraser Valley Christian Centre, 31929 Mercantile Way.  Knitted and crocheted blankets are put together for those in need. Info: Nancy at 604-504-3713

TALK ABOUT FOOD

In conjunction with Nutrition Month, registered dietitians will be on hand at the Real Canadian Superstore on Gladwin Road in Abbotsford on Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  and Wednesday, March 20 from 3 to 7 p.m.

LEARNING PLUS
