This is a list of some of the activities in Abbotsford over the next week


The Vintage Motorcycle Canyon Run takes place July 1 and 2. The weekend, which features 800 km of riding, leaves at 9 a.m. on Saturday from exit 104 on Highway 1 at 39980 South Parallel Rd., Abbotsford, and finishes in Lillooet for overnight camping. The trip returns to Abbotsford the following day. Info and registration:


A free walking tour around Mill Lake takes place Wednesday, July 5 from 10 to 11 a.m. Participants meet at Trethewey House Heritage Site, 2313 Ware St. A staff member will lead the tour. Learn about Mill Lake’s past as a local and provincial lumber hub, discover the history of the lake’s development and learn about the history of the surrounding community. Info: 604-853-0313


A support group for those living with hepatitis C meets Thursday, July 6 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the office of Dr. Farley, #7 – 2168 McCallum Rd. The group is hosted by Positive Living Fraser Valley. Info: 604-854-1101 or


The Mood Disorders Association support group in Abbotsford meets Thursday, July 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Abbotsford Community Services (2420 Montrose Ave.) The group meets the first and third Thursdays of every month. The Mill Lake Cruise-In is held Saturday, July 8 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mill Lake. More than 700 cars are expected to be on display. The day also includes vendors, food, live entertainment, a silent auction and more. Admission is free, but the cost to register a vehicle is $15. Email to register.


The Jubilee Park Lawn Bowling Club welcomes new members. Bowling takes place, weather permitting, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:45 p.m.and Tuesday and Thursday at 9:45 a.m. at 2552 McCallum Rd. No experience is necessary, and lessons are free. Registration is now being taken for the Swing with Bling ladies-only golf tournament on Wednesday, July 19 at Fraser Glen Golf Course. The event raises funds for Fraser Valley Child Development Centre and starts at noon. The event includes dinner and a raffle auction. Visit to register.
