The Abbotsford Seniors’ Association (ASA) is hosting a meeting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1 to vote on a name change. The word “seniors” will be taken out of the title to indicate that the association welcomes all age groups. Several options will be considered. Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way) shows The Wizard of Oz on Friday, Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. as an activity for kids who are off school due to a professional development day. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult. Info: 604-859-7814

Parents who had a baby born in December or January are invited to a Welcome Baby Tea Party on Monday, Jan. 30. The event runs from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Abbotsford Community Service’s Family Centre, 33780 Laurel St.


The Abbotsford chapter of Blankets for Canada meets Thursday, Feb. 2 at Fraser Valley Christian Centre, 31929 Mercantile Way (behind Ricky’s). All are welcome to help put knitted and crocheted blankets together for those in need in Abbotsford. All materials are supplied. Donations of yarn are always appreciated.
