EASTER EGG HUNT

Straiton Community Club hosts an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 7, starting at 11:30 a.m. at its hall at 4698 Sumas Mtn. Rd. Tickets are $5 (space is limited) and are available at BigFoot Moccasin and Clayburn Village Store, or at the hunt while supplies last. Free hot chocolate will be provided by the Optimist Club of Abbotsford. Kids trade found plastic eggs for candy and a “pick your own prize” novelty. Info: 604-852-4278

FISH AND CHIPS

The ladies auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion in Abbotsford hosts a fish and chips night on Friday, April 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. with Music by Syd. The legion is located at 2513 West Railway.

GIVE BLOOD

Canadian Blood Services needs more donors to book appointments for its clinic on Saturday, April 7 at Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly, 3145 Gladwin Rd. The clinic runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and appointments can be booked by calling 1-888-236-6283 or visiting blood.ca

ASA DANCES

The Abbotsford Seniors’ Association (ASA) hosts dances every Friday at the ASA hall (33889 Essendene Ave. ) from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Cost is $6 for members and $7 for guests. All ages are welcome. BUSINESS WOMEN

The Business and Professional Women’s Club of Abbotsford hosts its monthly luncheon meeting on Wednesday, April 11 at Cascade Community Centre, 35190 DeLair Rd. STORYTIME
