RECYCLING EVENT

Abbotsford Community Services’ recycling program celebrates Earth Day with the Re-Creation Station Craft Day. The event takes place Friday, April 15 at the Abbotsford Recycling Depot (33670 Valley Rd.) and Saturday, April 16 at the Mission depot (7229 Mershon St.), from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at each location. BAKE SALE

The Fraser Valley Humane Society holds a bake sale on Friday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Envision Credit Union in Junction Mall, #120 32555 Logan Ave. Bakers are needed: 604-826-3290.

NETWORK NEWS

The Mission chapter of the Valley Women’s Network hosts its monthly luncheon on Thursday, April 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Bellevue Hotel Legends Lounge. Cost is $15 for members and $17 for guests. Registration is required by emailing MissionReservations@ValleyWomensNetwork.

The Abbotsford Genealogical Society  holds a seminar with Lyn Meehan of Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, May 7 at the Clearbrook Library, 32320 George Ferguson Way, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $30 before April 15 and $35 after.
