Members of the Greater Vancouver Woodturners Guild (GVWG) have donated a wood sculpture to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice in Abbotsford.

The donation was presented on Nov. 1.

The “I Scream!” sculpture was produced by the guild as an entry into the American Association of Woodturners (AAW) annual collaborative challenge in the fantasy category.

The entry won top honours at the Pasadena, Calif., 2003 AAW Symposium.

Karen Reid, communications and marketing officer with Canuck Place, said the gift “will be a cherished addition to our new Abbotsford location, bringing smiles and laughter from all who pass by it.”
