Kurtis Beaumont, a member of the 1st Matsqui Venturers, was presented a $1,000 scholarship from the Baden Powell Guilds of Canada, which sponsors the award through the Scouts Canada Foundation.
Beaumont has previously earned his Chief Scout Award, the Queen’s Venturer Award and is currently working on his gold-level Duke of Edinburgh Award.
