Rotary club announces new president

The Rotary Club of Abbotsford has announced the installation of Angelo Rea as its new president, effective July 1.

Rea has been a member of the club since 2008 and has served on the board of directors in several different positions.

He currently serves as the area general manager for seven funeral homes in the Fraser Valley for Dignity Memorial Funeral Homes, which includes Woodlawn, Henderson’s and First Memorial.

He has been a business and life coach, a restructuring specialist and an entrepreneur for the last 21 years.

Rea has also been the chair of the Abbotsford Hospice Society’s board and currently serves as a member.

He has a bachelor degree from Tyndale University College, a master’s degree from Trinity Western University, and many other certificates/licences.

Rea said he is honoured to be the president of the Rotary Club of Abbotsford.

Therefore, reaching out to others has become one of my deepest passions – to communicate life-changing principles from which others could benefit. We are here to add value to the lives of people, wanting them to prosper and be at peace in their lives.”

Also inducted to the board of directors were: Andrew Franklin, Suzanne Greening, Hugh Ellis, Leslie McConnell, Andrea Lingren, Harvey Goodwin, Sara Lawson, Barb Schimnowsky, Bruce Beck, Lyle McLelland and Marion Keys.
