Leadership students from Rick Hansen Secondary in Abbotsford recently raised almost $350 in support of Matthew’s House.
The students set a goal to raise $150, and held a fundraiser on April 25 that included coffee and food from Starbucks and treats baked by the Resource Room and Foods class.
The students more than doubled their goal, collecting $342.
They spent three weeks planning the event, including making posters to advertise the fundraiser and preparing an informative board to display at the event.
Matthew’s House provides quality care in a homelike environment for kids with complex care needs, giving their families a chance to get the rest they deserve.
