The Keller Williams Valley Realty’s annual RED Day team helped out at LIFE Recovery’s Transition house on May 9.

Keller Williams Valley Realty’s annual RED Day (Renew, Energize and Donate) is an initiative dedicated to celebrating Keller Williams Realty’s year-round commitment to improving  local communities. Each year, tens of thousands of associates from across North America volunteer their time to renewing and energizing the neighbourhoods in which they live.

A local event was held May 9 at LIFE Recovery’s Transition house, painting the interior, planting hedges, creating planters, and sprucing up the exterior.

Patricia, executive director of LIFE Recovery, said:  “RED Day was a huge blessing to us and especially to all those women that will get to benefit from the lovely decorated home.  We love the colours and even the neighbours are commenting on how nice the place looks! The gardens look beautiful and the flower beds really set it all off.

"The clients are really excited about getting to live in the house and are all coming to me to book their room!

"Words cannot express how grateful we are to Keller Williams and the other volunteers that came to transform the house.  Thank you," said Patricia.

Special thanks to Benjamin Moore Paints for donating  the paint; Valley Pulp & Sawdust for donating the soil; BFI for donating the bin; Blackwood Build-All for donating lumber; and Homestead Nursery for donations of plants. Thank you to Ken Oldale from Buyer’s Choice for donating your time and helping out.
