White Spot’s annual Pirate Pak Day raised $78,786 for charity this year.
Customers visited local White Spot restaurants last Wednesday to enjoy the one day a year when the iconic boats are available for adults and to support the restaurant’s annual fundraiser, which helps send more than 50 kids and young adults with life-threatening illnesses and chronic disabilities to Zajac Ranch for Children in Mission, on the shores of Stave Lake.
A record breaking 39,350 Pirate Paks were sold on the day this year, up 20 per cent compared to last year.
White Spot has raised a total of $347,172 since the initiative began seven years ago, providing hundreds of kids with a special summer camp experience.
