The Abbotsford Youth Commission hosted its “Skate Party in the Park” on Wednesday afternoon, and some of Abbotsford’s youngest skaters took part in the competition.
Kenny Jones of Country 107.1 organized the competition, judged the best ollies, grinds and kickflips, and supplied the music. And staff from the youth commission barbecued hotdogs and served up free lunch on a hot, sunny afternoon,
There were approximately 100 kids at the party. The event was made possible by grants from the Abbotsford Community Foundation and True Sport. As well, sponsors like Long and McQuade and Replay Boardshop provided equipment and prizes.
