In a film to be screened at the University of the Fraser Valley Abbotsford campus on March 7, attendees will have a chance to see and hear six former heads of Israel’s internal security service reflect candidly on the morality of torture and terrorism, arrests and assassinations.

The Academy Award-nominated film The Gatekeepers is the third in a series of four films about Palestine being screened at UFV this semester.

The screening is at 3 p.m. in room B121. It is sponsored by the political science

department and is open to the public. Admission is free.

UFV alumnus Philip Sherwood and UFV student Colter Louwerse are helping organize the event.

“The turnout for the first two films has been robust, and many members of the community are attending,” said Louwerse. “People have told us they appreciate the chance to hear so many points of view.”

The final film in the series, The Stones Cry Out: The Story of the Palestinian Christians, will be screened on March 23 at 5:30 p.m., room A252.

A time for discussion will follow each film.
