The local branch of the OAPO held a 40th anniversary celebration on Saturday at Matsqui Recreation Centre.

The OAPO Matsqui branch 69 held its 40th anniversary last Saturday at the Matsqui Recreation Centre.

The event was attended by about 100 people, including Mayor Bruce Banman, who sang "The Impossible Dream."

OAPO president Jerry Gosling and OAPO member Henry Lloynd presented Christopher Dufferin of University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) with a cheque from branch members to be applied to the UFV scholarship fund.
