The Abbotsford Arts Council has extended the deadline for interested artists to apply for the 2014 Christmas Artisan Market.
Artists now have until Sept. 28 to apply for the show taking place Nov. 21 to 23 at Highstreet shopping complex (3122 Mt. Lehman Rd.).
The market provides for sale local, one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers.
Expanding from the 2013 event held at Kariton Gallery, this year’s market will provide a new indoor venue, new atmosphere and new opportunities to take in many local artists from various art forms.
The market takes place at the same time as Highstreet’s Christmas tree lighting.
Artists living in the Fraser Valley are invited to apply.
Applications are available at abbotsfordartscouncil.org or the Kariton Art Gallery, 2387 Ware St. in Abbotsford.
The gallery’s hours are Tuesday to Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
