A collaboration between the Abbotsford Arts Council and students at W. J. Mouat Secondaryraised more than $650.
The project saw students create unique picnic tables, which were auctioned as a fundraiser for Canuck Place at a barbecue last Saturday at Kariton Art Gallery in Mill Lake Park.
Guided by woodworking teacher Jeremy O’Shea and art teacher Jordan Turner, students have spent the spring semester building children’s-sized picnic tables and painting the table tops using “pattern” as a theme.
