The annual Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Quilt Show and Demonstration returns to Abbotsford from Aug. 26 to 31.

The show takes place in the meeting room at Clearbrook Library, 32320 George Ferguson Way and will be held during library hours.

The MCC Quilters will be on hand to demonstrate their craft, and finished handcrafted quilts will be on display for the week.

Visitors will be able to vote on their favourite quilt.

“We are so happy to return to the library for this show and are looking forward to meeting with the public to answer questions and share our love of quilting,” said Christa Giesbrecht, MCC BC quilting program coordinator.

All the finished quilts that will be shown are made year-round by volunteers at the MCC Material Resource Centre. The items will be auctioned at the annual MCC Festival for World Relief at the Abbotsford Tradex on Sept. 6 and 7, raising funds for MCC’s relief, development and peace work around the world.
