MCC Festival for World Relief held at Tradex

Event takes place Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19
Wayne Bremner talked about the symbolism of the bread at the start of the 2014 auction during the MCC Festival for World Relief.

The MCC Festival for World Relief takes place in Abbotsford today (Friday) and tomorrow.

The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Tradex, 1190 Cornell St.

The festival includes arts and crafts sales, auctions, activities for children and plenty of food. A pancake breakfast runs from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Also on Saturday, cyclists can participate in the Pedaling for Hope cyclathon to ride in support of MCC projects.

Proceeds support the relief, development and peace work of MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) around the world.
