An Abbotsford woman is among those who have been nominated for the 32nd annual YWCA Women of Distinction Awards.
Kristal Barrett-Stuart has been nominated in the Community Champion category for her work as the founder of The Sparkle Project BC.
The project is designed to inspire young girls to “explore their passions, build their confidence and share their sparkle with the world,” according to its website (sparkleprojectbc.com).
The Women of Distinction Awards honour individuals and organizations in 10 categories. They will be presented May 26 at a dinner at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
