Learn to share your life story at session in Abbotsford

Those who are interested in sharing and preserving their life story in print can attend a free information session

Those who are interested in sharing and preserving their life story in print can attend a free information session that will teach them how.

The MSA Museum Society will hold its first session April 5, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The sessions will be in collaboration with local writer, editor and personal historian Philip Sherwood, whose company lifewriters.ca specializes in helping individuals, families, organizations, and communities tell and preserve their stories in book form.

The sessions will give an overview of the life-writing process, provide a question and answer session, and point participants to several resources to get started. Individuals who want to get going but need help with a plan can request a free one-on-one consultation.

A free list of do-it-yourself resources will be available at the museum and day-long seminars will be held for those who want more detailed help. Several fee-based services are also offered to those needing more assistance.
