King Traditional elementary students support Starfish Pack Program

Kids make and sell backpack pulls/keychains as a fundraiser
Students at King Traditional elementary have made backpack tags/keychains that they are selling to support the Starfish Pack Program.

Students from King Traditional elementary have kicked off a campaign to raise money and support for the Starfish Pack Program.

The kids are making and selling backpack pulls/keychains, with a goal of raising $525 the cost of supporting one child for the entire school year.

The project is being supported by the school’s “Character Crew” of 60 Grade 2 and 3 students, who have committed to work on group projects that will inspire positive character in others.

The Starfish Pack Program, organized by the Rotary Club of Abbotsford in partnership with the Abbotsford Food Bank, helps ensure students whose families are without enough food won’t go hungry over weekends by providing non-perishable food in a backpack to go home each Friday.

The program supports 265 children in 22 schools in Abbotsford.
