History meets science fiction

Steampunk: History Imagined is a one-day event being hosted by the MSA Museum Society.

Steampunk: History Imagined is a one-day event being hosted by the MSA Museum Society.

The show combines a bit of history with neo-Victorian creativity and a whole lot of imagination and adventure, much like the works of Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, and other storytellers of the era.

Think Victorian-era mashed with sci-fi/fantasy.

The showcase takes place at Trethewey House (2313 Ware St.) on May 19 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and is in celebration of International Museums Day. This is a new event for the MSA Museum Society and is free to attend.

Organizers are looking for vendors and musicians who are interested in providing entertainment just for the fun of it (non-paid) for the event

There is no charge for vendors tables. To reserve a spot, contact Christina at 604-853-0313 or email to collectionsmanager@shawbiz.ca.
