A grand opening was held on Saturday for the new Mennonite Central Committee Centre on Gladys Avenue.
The new building consolidates many of the non-profit organizations’ services, including offices, the thrift store, a Ten Thousand Villages store, a community quilting room and a cafe.
Community members and dignitaries gathered at the site for the official ribbon cutting ceremony and to celebrate the work of MCC locally and overseas. The ceremony featured speeches, live music, food, tours and more.
