Five local middle schools joined forces on Friday, March 9 to perform a random act of kindness for the Abbotsford Police Department (APD).

The schools, with the support of their teachers, raised money to purchase 300 cupcakes as a sign of appreciation for local officers.

KS&A Chartered Accountants also donated funds to the cause.

They then delivered the treats as a surprise to APD members who were holding a public Coffee with the APD event at Cafe Amarti on Immel Street.

The participating schools were Howe, Eugene Reimer, Abbotsford Traditional, Abbotsford Middle and Clayburn.
