The Mennonite Central Committee’s (MCC)  annual  Festival for World Relief helps support the development and peace work of MCC all around the world – giving aid to people who are most in need.

This year’s festival is set for Sept. 7-8 at the Abbotsford Tradex and has something for everyone including great food, entertainment, craft booths, live and silent auctions, a great children’s area and more.

Children can take part in their own auction Friday night and enjoy other activities set up just for them all weekend long.

The famous Mennonite Quilts will be on display Friday and up for auction on Saturday.

Cycling enthusiasts can take part in the Pedaling for Hope cyclathon on Saturday.

Visitors can also bring pennies to the Penny Power Booth and see change make a change in the world.

All contributions to the Penny Power coin drive are matched four to one by CIDA, supporting farmers in Laos.

Since its beginning in 1920, MCC has worked to reach out to those who are hungry, thirsty, ill or in prison and to welcome strangers to new communities.
