Tony Prophet played for children at The Reach on Saturday, Jan. 26, to mark the Abbotsford Family Literacy Day Celebration.
About 1,200 people attended the events, held at Clearbrook Library and The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford.
Many community agencies participated, including the Abbotsford Police Department, Abbotsford Fire Rescue service and many agencies under the Abbotsford Community Services umbrella.
The events featured food, music, activities and entertainment, including a community art project for the public to contribute to. The Clearbrook Library was pleased that everyone came together to celebrate how making literacy a priority in day-to-day family life is a key to lifelong success.
