It has been said that charity begins at home, and Mia Gill’s family exemplifies that.

Gill’s parents instilled in her at an early age the importance of giving back to the community.

Since 2013, she has been donating the money she receives for her birthday to the Abbotsford Regional Hospital pediatric unit.

In total, Gill has donated more than $2,700.

This year, she shared the experience with her cousin Gavin to show him the importance of making a difference for kids in the community. The pair presented a cheque of almost $500.
