The employment mentors' program at Abbotsford Community Services (ACS) received a $5,000 donation from the CIBC Sumas and Marshall Banking Center, presented at the bank's grand opening on Sept. 21.

The contribution will assist vulnerable immigrant women who are either fleeing abuse, on income assistance and/or going through hardships in life. The grant provides an opportunity to assist women who would otherwise not have the opportunity to participate in this specialized programming, which has seen women become employed as janitors and daycare workers.
