Communitas Supportive Care Society in Abbotsford will hold a Christmas at Communitas Drive-Thru on Saturday, Dec. 11.

The event takes place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Communitas parking lot (#103 - 2776 Bourquin Crescent West), which will be transformed with Christmas trees, carolers and more.

There will also be an opportunity to make a donation to support flood relief efforts in Abbotsford.

“Our hope is to create a safe, family-friendly event and celebrate some much-needed Christmas cheer,” said Sarah De Klein, philanthropy and donor relations. “We also want to give back to our community and so we’ll accept donations for those impacted by the flooding here in Abbotsford.”

As guests drive through the parking lot decorated with three Christmas trees, they’ll be greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Claus, who will have goodie bags for all the children.

Carolers will be singing as cars make their way towards Little Sprout Café, where Mayor Henry Braun and his wife Velma will be handing out free goodies.

In order to streamline traffic, guests are encouraged to register for a time slot to drive through the space.

Christmas at Communitas is a free event and those who wish to make a donation towards flood relief efforts will be able to do so using a contactless, tap-to-give system.

Visit ChristmasatCommunitas.ca for more information or register for a time slot.
