Local chefs teamed up with students like from the Abbotsford Senior Secondary Culinary Arts program for the the first-ever Taste of Abbotsford chef competition Wednesday, presented by Save On Foods at Parallel Marketplace.
The event pitted four local chefs against one another, with each assisted by their own sous chef the culinary program. Chef Nick Vacchiano of Lepp Farm Market took top prize, along with his sous chef for the event, Amisa Joy.
Other chefs competing in the event included Michel Gagnon, Mat Wegner and Jacqueline Clark, whose sous chef, Brandon Melhus, can be seen in the photo above.
