An Abbotsford dentist recently received the Hind Rattan Award (Jewlel of India) in New Delhi, India.
Dr. Rakesh Arya received the award for "outstanding services, achievements and contributions."
Arya was one of the few people of Indian origin selected from across the globe to receive the award for his contributions to the profession and to society.
The event was broadcast on "Doordarshan," a public service broadcaster and one of the largest broadcasting organizations in India.
