The annual Fraser Valley Auto Mall Food Bank Drive happened last Saturday, resulting in a total of $36,000 in food donated, breaking last year’s record of $30,000.
A group including the nine automotive dealers and Automall Autobody, two Save-On-Food stores, PriceSmart on South Fraser Way, the Abbotsford News and Abbotsford Fire and Rescue Service collected food, and many donated cash.
The lengthy convoy of police, fire and other vehicles departed the Mt. Lehman Road auto mall and drove down South Fraser Way to the Abbotsford Food Bank on Essendene Avenue.
