Three Abbotsford students are among 117 recipients of the B.C. Aboriginal Student Award from the Irving K. Barber Scholarship B.C. Scholarship Society.
They are Maria Van Ewyk, who attends SFU; JoAnne Barnum, of UBC; and Koby Byrne from UFV.
The society awards scholarship of $1,000 to $3,500 to aboriginal students attending post-secondary education in B.C. This year, more than $300,000 was distributed.
