Abbotsford school raises $2,500 for Terry Fox Foundation

Three teachers at W. A. Fraser Middle agree to shave heads

The students and staff at W. A. Fraser Middle School in Abbotsford recently raised almost $2,500 for the Terry Fox Foundation.

Gym teacher Ryan McWhinney said that he would shave his head if the school raised more than $2,000 for the Terry Fox Run, which they held on Sept. 29.

Grade 6 teachers Chris Lee and Travis Alstead joined in with his pledge to shave their head/beard.

The top fundraisers were then invited to do the shaving: Meadow Higgs, Emma Meyer, Julia Colbert, Mia Roosen and Michelle Ngo.
