The Abbotsford Farm and Country Market (ACFM) opens for its 19th season on Saturday, May 7 at Jubilee Park on McCallum Road.

The market runs from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday and showcases fresh B.C. produce and prepared food products along with crafters and artisan items. Entertainment will also be back for the full season.

AFCM organizers say they are excited to welcome everyone back to business as usual.

“We ask patrons to continue being aware of social distancing and encourage folks to continue wearing masks if they feel more comfortable this way,” they said in a press release.

They also ask shoppers to consider bringing their own shopping bags this season as they are trying to be more cautious of their environmental impact.

For the most up-to-date information about vendors and shopping at the market in general, customers can sign up for a “Friends of the Market” membership for $10 annually at or at the information booth at the market.

Members receive the Market Thymes newsletter in their inbox each week prior to market day, vendor specials on the first Saturday of each month, a free market bag and savings on the purchase of mushrooms with the fundraiser “Mushrooms at the Market.”

First established in 2003, AFCM is the city’s longest running farmers’ market, operated by the non-profit Abbotsford Farm and Country Market Society.
