Selair Pilots’ Association in partnership with Selkirk College Aviation will be hosting an open house on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at its new facilities located at 1184 Aviator Drive at the Abbotsford International Airport.
The public is invited to visit the facilities, speak with staff and ask questions regarding flight and ground school training programs.
The purpose of the new facility is to provide private pilot training consistent with the highest professional standards for students working toward entry into the Selkirk College Aviation program or other college or university level programs across Canada.
In addition, Selair will provide pilot training for individuals seeking to earn a private pilot licence, night rating, instructor rating or complete a licence conversion.
Aircraft rentals are available to qualified, licensed pilots.
Introductory flights giving prospective pilot candidates a chance to see the local area and fly an aeroplane under the supervision of an experienced instructor are available for a cost of $75 for a half-hour flight.
