Abbotsford News wins nine advertising awards

North American association competition recognizes newspaper excellence

The Abbotsford News has won nine awards in the Local Media Association 2013 Advertising and Promotions competition.

The LMA is a non-profit, professional trade association serving the suburban and community newspaper industry in North America.

Black Press newspapers in B.C. and Washington won a total of 33 awards.

Abbotsford News publisher Andrew Franklin said, “This has been an incredible year for The Abbotsford News, receiving a record number of 29 awards. I am very appreciative of the dedicated team here in Abbotsford that continue to bring their A-game on a weekly basis. Our 90th anniversary year  in 2012 gave our creative team lots to work with. Our people make the real difference right across the board. However, as always, we are grateful to you our readers for your loyalty, support and engagement.”
