An Abbotsford financial adviser has been recognized in a list featuring the up-and-coming professionals in the wealth management industry.
Cameron Wilson of Wilson Wealth Management has been included in Wealth Professional Canada’s (WPC) 2017 Young Guns list, recognizing 25 finance professionals aged 35 or under who are making their mark in the industry.
With the industry shifting towards a fee-based model, a clear division between high-net-worth segment and the mass market has emerged, creating a glass ceiling for new entrants in the wealth management industry, says David Keelaghan, WPC news editor.
“With the ongoing model changes, advisory firms are under pressure and it doesn’t really give much leeway for someone still learning the ropes,” he said.
“The advisers on this list are passionate of their work and are keen to remove any stigma associated with the profession. Their drive and dedication is exactly what earned them a place in this list.”
