The local Fraser Valley team beat Caribou North East decisively 4-0 in their first game of the BC Summer Games.

Abby Berg got her first of two goals in the match only moments after the opening whistle when she lobbed the ball over the keeper.

Jaiden Andries and Avery Walsh each had a goal.

Fraser Valley Coach Andrew Dodge said his team was nervous at the beginning of the game but settled into their game plan soon after.

Dodge said his team just needs to stick to its system to beat their next opponent – Vancouver-Coastal.
